KCW: Upcycle

I certainly didn't finish what I had wanted to for this Kid's Clothes Week cycle, but at least I completed something!
I had started the week with making a grand cape with wool and pleather shoulders. I had no pattern; I just winged it, and ran out of glorious giant wool sweater :'( I also have an incomplete pair of HOSH Pants cut and ready to sew... But In the end only had a single Tshirt made! Next time, KCW. Next time!!!

Overall, honestly it was a tough week. We love and miss "Dada" very, very much. So I wanted to make something with him in mind <3

I made this lovely little shirt with the Rowan Tee pattern by Titchy Threads. I use this pattern for literally all of Teddie's shirt tops! The fabric is one of my Dad's old tees that my mother banished due to the holes in the sleeves and back of the neckline. I thought it added character and so didn't try to cut around them!

I made the graphic lettering by hand using heat transfer vinyl (I have a tutorial!). I had made Teddie two shirts with this same graphic prior to this one but he is growing oh-so-quickly I had to make it in a larger size!

So where is dear Dada you might wonder? My love is a great man with great struggles. But he is doing wonderful things and I like to keep a couple of these shirts made up so we can show all that we're praying and rooting for him! We sure do miss him.

I hope your Kid's Clothes Week went a little smoother than mine did! Thank you for reading!
